They're here

So I am already fed up with the tourists. My usual 30 minute commute home, took an hour and a half. I'm not really sure what the problem is either. Everyday we drive to work, home, the movies, wherever. We probably on average travel at a speed of 40mph I'd guess. We still manage to see all the sights, read what movies are playing at the theater, see the specials on the McDonald's board, notice the lady bent over in the garden, or the dog sleeping on the front lawn. Somehow we manage to do this while eating, singing along to the music, texting, talking on the phone, or even "tweeting". So why the hell can't people on vacation do the same thing? I spent a good part of my day yesterday traveling about 5mph. There were three accidents that I know of in the Windham area alone. All because people have to come to Maine to look out the damn car window. There is nothing here that they don't have at home. Oh you want to go camping? Go to a campground in Connecticut! You feel the urge to go hiking? There are mountains in New Hampshire! Oh you feel like going to the lake? There is water in Massachusetts people! I cant get to the grocery store without having to drive around a half hour to find a spot. Must be because our hot dog and hamburgers are the finest in the world! Huge lines at the gas station, Not sure why they don't understand this. But if they didn't drive here they wouldn't need to refuel to go home! Order a pizza from the local hole in the wall gas station? That will be an hour wait. Want to rent a movie and snuggle up with the misses? Sorry the only thing left is Harry and the Hendersons. I have lived in Maine my entire life, there is nothing exciting here. Nothing that is worth coming to the woods for a week. Nothing you can't do at your own house, in your own town, in your own state. Nothing you can't do NOT IN MY STATE!
