They're here

So I am already fed up with the tourists. My usual 30 minute commute home, took an hour and a half. I'm not really sure what the problem is either. Everyday we drive to work, home, the movies, wherever. We probably on average travel at a speed of 40mph I'd guess. We still manage to see all the sights, read what movies are playing at the theater, see the specials on the McDonald's board, notice the lady bent over in the garden, or the dog sleeping on the front lawn. Somehow we manage to do this while eating, singing along to the music, texting, talking on the phone, or even "tweeting". So why the hell can't people on vacation do the same thing? I spent a good part of my day yesterday traveling about 5mph. There were three accidents that I know of in the Windham area alone. All because people have to come to Maine to look out the damn car window. There is nothing here that they don't have at home. Oh you want to go camping? Go to a campground in Connecticut! You feel the urge to go hiking? There are mountains in New Hampshire! Oh you feel like going to the lake? There is water in Massachusetts people! I cant get to the grocery store without having to drive around a half hour to find a spot. Must be because our hot dog and hamburgers are the finest in the world! Huge lines at the gas station, Not sure why they don't understand this. But if they didn't drive here they wouldn't need to refuel to go home! Order a pizza from the local hole in the wall gas station? That will be an hour wait. Want to rent a movie and snuggle up with the misses? Sorry the only thing left is Harry and the Hendersons. I have lived in Maine my entire life, there is nothing exciting here. Nothing that is worth coming to the woods for a week. Nothing you can't do at your own house, in your own town, in your own state. Nothing you can't do NOT IN MY STATE!

busy busy busy

So Yea it's been a couple of weeks. Things have been hopping around here. Took that week off to redo the front window, Robstock plans are kicking into full gear, August 22nd! The first orders of T-shirts are done. Been trying to make one a day to get a stock pile built up. I have a couple charcoal and a red one done now. Throw in a concert and a couple birthdays and the month of June is over. Got an interesting phone call yesterday. One of those too good to be true offers. I think I might do it. They were really nice on the phone and had a genuine attitude and personality. I would recommend it if they call you to at least hear them out. It sounds to be a good deal. This isn't like the coffee scam so don't worry about that. Just don't push him aside and hang up though that's rude. Douglas was his name I think. Other than that things are normal, busy. Need to plan a Robstock pregame/practice/preseason/Spring training. A lot of people are getting serious about the tourney. To everyone out there who hasn't won in the past. It's about time you started getting serious.

Busy, busy ,busy

Well as most of you have probably heard/seen. I took the week off for vacation. Vacation yea right. I hurt more now than after a week at work! I started redoing our front window at 8am on Monday morning, and haven't stopped yet. I had a very productive first day, getting way more done than both Mel and I expected. The day two brought rain and leaks. It was a good thing though, I was able to roof and seal everything up, to make sure it wouldn't leak anymore. Although I could have done with out the two shirts, pairs of pants, and jackets, that soaked through! Yesterday I was able to finish the outside. All that is left is the trim on the inside. If Caleb shows up today we should be able to get all that cut, maybe even stained. If he shows up. Work starts at 8 around here. He's already late. Whatever gets done today, that's the end of it. We are headed to Mel's parents for the weekend. It's her dad's 60th birthday. Well now I'm late. Off to the grind. DOOOOOOOODAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Never gonna use it huh!

Spent a good part of the day yesterday and today planning out the window project. Who ever said that you'll never use algebra in real life is a douche. I had to go find a damn website that would automatically tell me how long the third side of a triangle was. It's a good thing I started working on this now or I would have wasted the first two build days in front of a calculator. As it is this may be bigger than I first realized. But it has to be done, this is four years in the works, and if I cant figure it out, well I'll just start a drive through. Maybe I'll sell carpentry advice out of a hole in my house. Man, Peppermint Patty would be proud. I can't let this take over my mind though, I'm headed to the Phish concert in Mansfeild with Matt and Brett. Should be a great time. Then a good days rest on Sunday, then Monday morning it's demo day. If anybody wants to come watch a clueless man knock his living room wall out. My place is where the action is! Oh and one last thing, DOOOOOOOODAAAAAAAA!

Andrea stop reading my blog during your sales meetings. Pay attention to Denis.

Looks to be all good

So far this looks to be all good songs! Downloads of full albums to follow! Watch the video and watch the vocal track in particular. Sometimes there are three people singing at the same time but on different pitches. Sometimes they sing together other times it's just one or two of the together. Here are the songs confirmed so far.

"Back in the U.S.S.R."
"Day Tripper"
"Get Back"
"Here Comes the Sun"
"I Am the Walrus"
"I Feel Fine"
"I Saw Her Standing There"
"I Want to Hold Your Hand"
"Octopus's Garden"
"Taxman"

Plus the whole Abbey Road album and exclusive to the Xbox is "All You Need Is Love".

I am pretty excited for this. Definitely going to have a Beatles themed party! Keep September 12th open! Fuck! Can't do it that day, we have our only wedding of the year to attend then. What are the odds that after successfully negotiating 10 weddings last year, that the only one this year is right in the way. Guess we could do it Friday night, or Sunday again, no wait Cortney bitched too much about Metallica being on a Sun. Maybe we'll have to wait until the 19th. Mother F'er

I'm confused

So recently I have been reacquainted with friends from the past. It has been a great experience reliving old times and getting caught up on the new happenings in life. In most cases it feels just like the old days, and no time had really passed between us. Then there are some others where things seem awkward. Not necessarily because of things that happened in the past but more like we have grown apart or never really knew each other. I feel as though I should not just brush these people off as they are interested in getting to know me? I might have done a selfish thing, but I needed to know if they fit in my life. I let some time pass to ponder the meaning of our relationship. I realized that I was wondering the how, what, and whens. I would plop down at the computer box hoping for an E-mail. People even started asking me how so-and-so was. It was at this point I realized that maybe they do have a place in my life. It took me a little while to find the right wording to explain my absence and lack of communication. I really felt bad for letting the situation get to the point it had. So I reached out. I explained where I was mentally and said that I would like to pursue a relationship, lets start over fresh and give this thing a try. I thought all was good and hopefully this would get things back on track. I received a response I was not expecting. I was told that per my wishes I would not be contacted again. ?????? I wasn't sure what this meant. I had not said that, in fact I said the exact opposite. I responded again to that effect and got another reply saying that they misunderstood me. Now I feel really bad and hope things are not worse off then before I sent my initial apology. I really want to add another friend to my circle, and hope that I didn't just ruin those chances.

Set aside a couple of days to spend at our house.

So the news came out in the last couple of days of a new Guitar Hero game. I paid no heed to this as I already knew about it (or so I thought). You see I am geared up for Guitar Hero Smash Hits
coming out on 6.16. It basically is going back and taking songs off the first 3 games and adding the drums and vocals. I got very excited to hear that the songs that got me into this game would now be available to wail on. Even more exciting to me is the Rockband Beatles game coming out on 9.9.09. Get it 9,9,9.... No you probably don't, it's a Beatles thing. Anyways that is sure to be the seed of another theme party! So I thought my plastic guitar thirst would be quenched for the remainder of the year with these well spaced games. Then today I actually paid attention to the chatter I was hearing. Evidently there are more things in store for the year! Guitar Hero 5 will be out on 9.1.09 with the likes of Santana, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Kings of Leon, and a lot more to be announced. Looks to be 85 new songs on this one. Then there is Band Hero, aimed at the family band, Pop 40 hits mostly. Might pass on this one, depends on the track list. Then there is the Van Halen themed game. I have never been really big on these guys, but it might be a lot of fun, No official release date yet, just sometime in the second half of the year. Wow you say! Too much right? Wrong! Then there is the Lego Rockband in the "Holiday 09" season. Way to capitalize on X-mas heart strings. Looks to be like the Band Hero thing, aimed towards kids and families. Maybe another pass, but it does combine two of my favorite things. Enough you say? No sir! This little gem popped up in the Internet today. Not on my radar currently but it might be worth a try sometime. DJ Hero. Go ahead take a guess what this is? That's right it is a rhythm game played with a turn table shaped controller! Over 100 songs from 80 artists and 80 brand-new mixes that have never been heard before. There looks to be some really big names attached to this. Well as big as a rapper can get.

My blog is back, Hay na, Hay na, my blog is back.

Yea, yea I know, what the hell? Where have you been? Well the nicer the weather got outside the less ambition I had to log in and post. But most of you asked me already, so I'm not sure why I am repeating that. So I've been outside ALOT. My house other's houses. In the month and a half since I have last seen you. I have......Cleaned my yard, cleaned other's yards, played paintball, Redsox/Mets game, built a porch, birthday parties, dinner out with friends, mowed at least twice, cruised around in a BMW for a week. got caught up on all our DVR'd shows, got a sketch and autograph from one of my favorite comic artists, went to see Wolverine, Fast and Furious, Angels and Demons, closed in a screen porch, started printing T-shirts for Robstock. That might cover pretty much it, oh wait no, I went and saw Tommy's cover band and visited with Mike too. there that's it. Upcoming I have to pick up a load of wood for my parents, buy a ladder, Seadogs on Monday, Phish next Saturday with Matt and Brett. I want to squeeze in paintball, go to see UP, knock out the front window in the living room, download some new music, go see a Mets game at Citi Field (anyone up for a weekend road trip?), Mow again, spend some quality time with the new Guitar Hero, and find a way to make a little extra cash to pay for all this. Sounds pretty much like the typical life of Melis and I, absolutely no free time. and you wonder why I haven't been blogging?

I'm not gonna lie

Cleveland sucks. Don't get me wrong we are having a great time. But this town has nothing to do at all. We have found a few cool things, but they don't out number the lame things. How about the fact that on a Friday night the mall closes at seven. Sounds stupid right? Well we went through that mall earlier yesterday. There is nothing there. Then we found out that the other mall is closed on the weekends. Doesn't seem like a good strategy. We did however find a nice hot dog cart for lunches.$1.25 dogs with all the fixings. and they are good. Then there is the breakfast buffet here at the hotel. Typical hotel buffet, eggs, bacon, french toast, fruit, bagels. $15. We almost dined and dashed. Except we live here, so no.We headed to the Hall Of Fame and illegally took photos of the Metallica stuff. Cool place. Then the greatest thing happened last night. We were going to a Metallica Club party at Hard Rock Cafe and we had to wait till 9 cause we hadn't RSVP'd in time to get dinner. So we went out into the closed mall. As we hung by the rail I caught a glimpse of Lars with one of his kids. We tentatively tried to intercept him but he made it to the restaurant door before we got there. So we decided to wait. A little while later as we staked out (pun intended) Morton's Steak house. He came back out. I congratulated him on the induction and asked for a picture. He said sure and here are our spoils.......
Then we skipped the MetClub party, It seemed kinda lame. We went to Local Heroes for beer and wings. we had been there for lunch the prior day and met Mary who told us to come back. So we ordered up two dozen wings and started boozing. Needless to say Mary closed down early and took us out for a drink at another bar. We finished getting hammered, and Mary gave us a ride back to the hotel. She was awesome and a great friend to make on our trip!

Ahhh vacation

So I return to the hamburger incident. Not me this time. I am sitting here in the Portland airport, listening to my Ipod and people watching. Evidently my “situation” does not affect everyone. I have been intently watching a young gentlemen eat not one but two greasy sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. He is also drinking only what I can describe as a two-liter mocha-cocoa-colon blow-latte. With whipped cream. In my experience this type of “diet” would result in a 20-30 minute window of “opportunity” before it will be dealt with. Add in the coffee as an accelerant, and I figure the guy has about fifteen minutes till blast off. The dilemma being that his plane begins boarding in 10 minutes. I’m sure that they will want him to take his seat as there is another plane boarding out of the same gate soon after. He is traveling to Philadelphia. I guess that’s probably a couple hours in the air. If he is anything like me and refuses to use an airplane bathroom. That boy is in some serious shit. Yes pun intended.

Too many things

So usually I am worried about finding time for myself during a month. Everyone knows we are a busy clan over at the Paquet house. Well this week seems to be the busiest week ever. Melissa wants to (and we are while I write this) watching Twilight. Yippie! Then we have Heroes that we DVR'd last night. Plus Big Bang and How I Met Your Mother. Then there is TV on tonight. Tomorrow I have to go to work. I need to order Metallica tickets, Then I can book our plane tix for California. I need to pack for Cleveland sometime between now and Thursday. Then I would like to log about 24 more hours on Metallica Guitar Hero in the next 24 hours. I know once Greg and I meet up in Cleveland we will be going non stop for 3 days. Got huge news about the induction ceremony. Jason will be there and he will be playing with Metallica. A dream come true. We knew if it was gonna happen this would be the place. Also have another Metallica related surprise, but it's not official yet!

Well rested

So after taking a few days to recharge my physical and mental batteries, I'm again back on the blogging wagon. Really didn't have anything new to share the last couple O days so I thought I would sit back, take it all in, and let it process. Surprisingly nothing that exciting happened. We have come to realize that we lead a pretty structured and scheduled, spontaneous life. What? Yea we are real good at deciding to do something on a whim, however it is the same things almost every time. We could sit here and stare at the TV for hours and then all of a sudden "lets go out" I could money down on where we are going cause it could only be one of like five places. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy it. It's just that I think we need something new to do. I'm glad the whole paintball thing happened and some others jumped on the wagon too. But if I start doing that every weekend that will join the list too. I think it would be nice to get dressed up with a bunch of friends and go out to dinner. I don't mean dressed up like last yesterday, I mean shirt and tie stuff. Although going out in public with Brett and his mullet would be great too!

I got the itch

No not that itch. Everyday more and more ground keeps showing itself. My entire roof is almost clear. The dogs want to spend more time outside, and so do I. I am eagerly eyeing the spot I hope to build the wood shop on. The garden out front has tulips poking up. It will only be a matter of time. I am eager to play some horseshoes, grunt, basketball, beer die, paintball, and just lounge on the porch. Who's up for a bon fire and some burgers? I would love to wash the cars, rake up the remains of fall, sweep the sand off the driveway, or mow the lawn. I especially can't wait to tear a hole in the front of my house and replace the damn windows. But I'm not ready to take the chance of snow blowing in before I finish.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

Hehehehehehe!

So I get the whole reuniting with an old friend, or talking to someone that you have lost contact for a while. I started a Myspace and Facebook page for just that thing. Hell even this page is a way to stay in touch with people I don't get to talk to all the time. But why must girls revert to the giggling little school girl who can't stop talking? I would love to be able to hear both sides of the conversation at the same time. There is no way that either side can hear what the other is saying, because they never stop. Melissa has been on the phone for almost an hour with no end in sight. I realize she hasn't spoken to Lauren in prob a year. She is giddy right now. I haven't heard her stop to take a breath and she is going 1000 miles an hour. She is so involved that she didn't her me say dinner was ready, I just watched two episodes of Scrubs, let the dogs out, and am now blogging. She'll be mad when she reads this, she told me to not write about her on here ever. I have been able to relive every thing that has happened in mine and most of your lives in the last year. Now Lauren knows too. I think I will go play some Rockband now, with any luck she won't be able to her me sing because Lauren will finally get her turn to talk.

Tradition

How many times must something happen before its tradition? For the last two years I have traveled to California to visit Greg. First year was a Raiders game. Last year it was a Metallica concert and a raiders game. It looks as though this year may again be a cross country flight in December. I know the worst time to head to California, the Maine winter. Metallica looks to be the center of the trip this time as well. Who knows maybe even another Raiders game. I do know one thing that will be added to the trip this year. Melissa. I told her last year I wanted her to go. This time she has no choice. It's been a few years since we took a "real vacation". Who knows maybe we'll go again next year.

The Unattainable

So I have a craving for ice cream. We don't have any. We have hot fudge, sprinkles, and cherries, but alas we are missing the most important part. There are no ice cream stands open yet. Neither of us feel like driving to the store to get some. We are going to go grocery shopping tomorrow. By then I probably won't want any though. I don't even have something the would suffice. No sherbet, ice cream sandwiches, or popsicles. If someone wants to come over tonight and hang out, We like cookies and cream.

Sausage Party

So far so good. Rousing game of golf. Followed by another. Then four giant sausage subs with onions and peppers. Watched Role Models. It was pretty good. Now back to some more video games and beer. Hopefully I can stay up for a while and continue the man festival!

Getting pumped up

So the next couple of weekends are shaping up to be great ones. This weekend Melis went home, so I am playing bachelor for the weekend. Played Star Wars tonight, more of the same tomorrow afternoon. Then Caleb is coming over for some video games and beer. Then Sunday and Monday to relax. Then the following weekend is the release of Guitar Hero Metallica! I am very excited for this as I'm sure you know. But not as excited as the next weekend. I will be travelling to Cleveland with Greg to see Metallica inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A once in a lifetime opportunity. I was told the other day that I am a true fan. Some people are "fans" of something but they don't take that next big step. I guess for me and Metallica this is it. I will a be fucking happy camper. I may even be on TV as the whole ceremony will be broadcast live on FUSE. Along with the S&M show in 1999, meeting Jason in 2002, this is the biggest event in my Metallica "career". One that I am sure will not be forgotten for a long time.

You caught me

Well, as you may or may not know. I missed a day. Not on purpose or by accident. I fell asleep last night before I got a chance. Then when Mel woke me up on the couch, I kissed her and stumbled off to bed. I realized my carelessness today when I got up, but alas it was too late. So I plead that I was not in the correct frame of mind and therefore unable to fulfill my blogging duties. Don't hold it against me, I have gotten a lot of flack for even doing this in the first place. I'm doing this mostly for me, but some people can't see that. Kinda like clothes. A majority of people wear what they wear to please others or fit in. Buy your kid a new shirt, none of their friends like it, they never wear the shirt again. Wear a certain brand of clothes cause you overheard peeps at the office talking about it. Me I wear what I do cause I like it. Today I wore shorts for the first time this year. Very comfy! They just happened to be plaid. So what, I bought them cause I liked them, I could give two shits what you think. Believe me I heard about them all day. Guess what, I'll wear em' again. It takes a lot more pride to be unique and stick with your guns then it does to be a sheep and fit in with the flock. And I definitely stand out in a crowd!

Honeydew

So we got our first save the date for a wedding this year. As far as I know this is the only one. I hope anyways. I am starting to realize that we need to tell everyone no for like four months so that we can have and actual summer for ourselves. I need to redo the decking on the snowmobile trailer, replace the windows in the living room, build my wood shop, a Robstock project, fill one of the flower beds with new dirt, finish the drainage under the porch, and redo some stuff in the attic. Plus weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, parties, other random get togethers. Then squeeze in washing the cars, mowing the lawn, raking the leaves, weed whacking, planting new grass seed, and other such yard work. when do I have time for me?

Monday, March 16, 2009

Ahh, the time has arrived.

Well, today was the day, it has officially begun. I spent a half hour or so scraping and wiping down the racks. Then I let it warm up for a while. I checked the tank. Scraped it down again. Then I made some burgers and tossed em on the grill. That's right the grill! It is always a great time of the year, when I can get to the grill without having to worry about wearing shoes, jacket, gloves, or hat. This is the beginning of summer in my book. We will probably grill 3-4 times a week from here till the snow flies. In fact we have two nice pieces of swordfish ready to go in the next couple of days. I really cant wait till I throw some ears of corn and a nice steak on there. You know what else this means. The beginning of summer, means the end of summer. and the end of summer means Robstock is near!

Relaxing at last

So I have made it home from a busy, fast paced, exciting weekend. Got up early today packed up and headed home. But not after sharing the stories from last night with the guys who went to bed early. Travis, who drinks maybe once a year has found a new love. Beer pong. He drank 16 Smirnoff Ice and two shots of Dr's last night. Even as we were helping him off the bathroom floor he was still screaming for one more game! I must admit he was a trooper. But today as I exited the gas station @ 9am with two hot dogs, he quickly reverted to the cringing man who crawled to the bathroom to puke in the middle of the night. He actually complained about the heated floors. He said that you sweat like crazy while you are sleeping (more like passed out) on them. I got a bunch of great pics. too many to put up here. so if anyone wants to see let remind me sometime. Here are a few...

More details

Okay, I know that I said this before but this house is awesome! Direct TV, Wi-Fi, Heated floors, Three bathrooms, and the perfect beer pong sized kitchen table. Last night I went 5-1 team style with Chad, Tonight so far we have been playing singles, I am 2-3. Not so good. So today we went about 100 miles. we averaged about 35-40 MPH. It was gorgeous out all day.Perfect temp, not alot of people out, and good trails for most of the day. We did have a few minor mechanical setbacks but nothing we couldn't work around. I also met my match today. I ordered the "fire wings" at lunch. I did NOT finish them. They were the hottest wings I have ever had. The really messed up thing is , I would get them again! We had a great day and I am excited about coming back here again next year. We have been talking about it all day. Pics to follow tomorrow.

This is amazing

I haven't taken pictures yet but this place is amazing. We went out for a while today. Cruised around, saw about 30 deer on the trails. Had dinner at the local dive and are back to the house now warming up the pong table. More to come tomorrow.

Ahhh the sun

Well it's 3:39 am and I am starting to feel more energized when I wake in the morning. I usually get up and flip on the outside light and hope it not snowing. Then drag myself to the fridge for a drink and stumble down here to check my email before my shower. It was so dark and cold I just wanted to crawl back in bed. Today however the moon is shining bright outside, and I feel ready to go. For a while I was dragging ass getting up and falling asleep way to early. I think my batteries just couldn't recharge due to it being dark all the time. Now it is getting brighter earlier and staying that way longer. The sun is back to stay for a while, and I am seriously happy about that.

The end is near

Well it looks like today will be my last blog till Sunday. You see I'm going on a snowmobile trip for the weekend and most likely won't be able to get to the inter-web until when I get home on Sunday. Kinda sucks as I had a good streak going. But It's not my fault that the back woods of Maine don't have a wireless hot spot by the birch tree. I thought about prewriting a couple of blogs and then having Melissa post them for me. That didn't seem like the moral thing to do to you guys so I opted out. I technically guess I could write something tomorrow morning before I head off to work, That would make me feel a little better. I think I'll take the laptop in case the local watering hole by chance has wi-fi. Maybe I can at least post a few pics of us out on the trail. It was good while it lasted anyways. I had fun while I was doing it. You seemed to enjoy it. I'll be able to get back to it in a couple of days. Damn this trip sounds more and more like the period blood of my sex life.

The irony of it all

So here's one for you. The Curves in Westbrook is doing a food drive. A FOOD DRIVE! You know where people show up to a designated area and drop off non perishable food for the needy. Except in this case the designated area is the same place where overweight women go to lose weight. And the needy are overweight women who need more food. I can just picture Sally walking on the treadmill stuffing her face with raw macaroni. AWWWWM-num-num-num-num. (hows that Andrea?) You have to admit it is a good cover. Women who are trying to better their life, reaching out to better other's. I envision Curves as some kind of secret club.
-Only women are allowed to join.
-You have to be a certain weight so as to not make the others feel worse about themselves.
-Bring a snack to share with the others (cookies or brownies preferred).
-Participate in shady donation causes to help acquire more food.
There is probably a secret handshake too. But we will never know. I bet once donations are closed for the day, the shades are drawn, and out come the boxes. Can openers come out of gym bags, pasta is boiled in the whirlpool, and cakes are baked in the sauna. They probably set everything up on the mats, and all sit around for a nice buffet. I know, I have a twisted way of looking at things. But I wouldn't take an AA group on a brewery tour, a sex-aholic to a strip club, a diabetic to a candy store. And I certainly wouldn't leave food in a room full of hungry women.

They're all short busses now

I remember getting up and having to walk a quarter mile to the bus stop. Then bitching and complaining the whole ride that we stopped every 5 seconds to let a car go by. Then I had to repeat the same trip in reverse on the way home, diving out of the bus when it got close to my stop. Today however I was fortunate enough to follow a bus home. Wow things have changed since I was in school. I guess the new procedure is to stop at every single house on the route whether or not there is a kid to get off there. The twenty of us used to pile out at the community stop and then had to hoof it the rest of the way home. Rain, snow, locusts, and hurricane, we walked. We also had about 3 seconds to get off the bus before the doors slammed shut. Now the bus stops, the kids get off, and the bus sits there until the kid gets inside, takes off his coat and sits down for a snack. Or mommy picks the kid up in her Lexus and must have a little five minute chat with the driver before it can move the thirty feet to the next stop. I remember bolting off that bus as it was the most exciting thing I'd been looking forward to all day. Now the kids stop and wait for the driver to motion them across the street like Vanna showing them the puzzle. Also, the minimum cars that must be traveling behind the bus for it to pull over is evidently around 1000. I must have been the 15th car in line today and I couldn't see how many were behind me it was so long. So I guess this might be some kind of contributing factor into the fat kids of America club. Lets treat them all like the short bus kids. And if you don't know what the short bus is, that's probably because you were riding on it.

Larger than life

So I am in the process of another project that has turned out to be way bigger than I thought. On Saturday I helped Tim hang his TV and run new wiring in the walls. I figured around 4-5 hours was a respectable guess. That turned out to be a huge underestimation. It actually took more like 7-8. Now I am in the process of cleaning up my hard drive by compiling my music files. I figured I would move, rename, consolidate files for a few hours and then rip some more CDs to the drive so I can trade in the discs at Bullmoose. Well after relocating everything. I decided I needed to delete the duplicate files before the next step. 22.4 GB of duplicate files later I am now into Itunes, converting files that were previously lost in some black hole folder, gathering album artwork, and renaming files. I started this around 10 this morning. I still have the first CD sitting in the drive waiting for Itunes to finish. So much for a few hours. All this work to make a few bucks.

The shopping has begun

Well we bought our first Christmas present today. I know it's a little early right. We always try to take care of it in pieces starting somewhere in October. This however is a giant step towards getting it done early. I once picked out a movie for my mom to give me, which in the course of the year she wrapped and lost it. Come X-mas I was very disappointed to find out it couldn't be found. So she bought it again and I received it the next year, only to have her find the original copy a few weeks later. It can be kind of a hassle to keep track, and remember the things you have already bought, wrapped, and stashed away. How many times have we forgotten where or what something was. I hope it doesn't happen this time, cause it's a pretty cool present, and I would hate to have it waste away in the back of some closet. Good thing it's not a puppy.

Hoping for the best

So it may be the fact that I'm a dirty old man, or the warped conditions that society has created. No matter who, age, ethnicity, who they are walking with. Whenever I see a Victoria Secrets bag being carried through the mall, my mind automatically takes over. I understand and realize that they sell normal underwear and bras. In fact they sell your average PJ's, flannel too. But for some reason whenever I see that bag, I think is contains the dirtiest nastiest thing you could possibly buy. Lets say Mom, little Joey and his friend Doug are out shopping. Mom wants a bottle of the new perfume for her work associate who is retiring next month. My mind uses its X-ray vision and sees a crotchless teddy with cutouts for her nipples. Or a couple teenage girls who stopped in to buy a nice bra for prom. Yea that bag has a couple of fishnet stockings and a garter belt. Which wouldn't be that bad.

Someones in for a surprise

So I got hit by car in the parking lot today. I had just pulled into a spot and was out of the truck, when I heard a loud rubbing, screeching, followed by a loud pop. I noticed that my truck jarred to the side a little. I thought "ah fuck!" As I turned around to see what the hell happened I saw a scared shitless teenager peering through his windshield at me. He was previously parked on the passengers side of me, and backed out of the spot once I had pulled in. He obviously grossly mis-judged the swing, and his entire front end had hit my truck. I again thought "ah fuck!" So I walked around to the access the damage. My metal GMC truck suffered the damage of what looks to be salt from the roads on my tire. Maybe a three inch mark. It wiped right off. I turned and looked at the driver as he rolled down his window, and said "don't worry about it." He was very thankful and asked repeatedly "are you sure?" I told him it didn't do anything to my truck and I wasn't worried about it. Then he drove off hurriedly, probably to not allow me to change my mind. The funny thing was he never got out of his car. Or I am guessing never got out of his parents car. His little plastic Prius suffered a far worse condition. The entire front bumper was gaping wide open and hanging on one side. Large black streaks all across the front onto the side. I'm guessing he was very thankful that I did not want to get police or insurance involved. However I can't keep his parents from finding out.

All I ask is for a little help

So everyday I am plagued with a burning question. It's the same question everyday. I always ask the same question, and get the same answer. A very non helpful answer. Then I have to deal with it on my own only to repeat the process over the next day. Melissa and I have lived together for ten years. I am giving you this tidbit of information to emphize my point. One would think that after ten years, (3650 days) of asking "what do you want for dinner?" I would at least get an answer every once in a while. No, I get "I don't know". Even I run out of ideas now and then, but I have to come up with something everyday. So I want to thank Bob for the wonderful idea yesterday. It was good, something different, and easy to make.

Dedication

So here I am again with nothing on my mind. Dedication is my only drive today. I have to keep the streak alive. Today was the first day that I thought about what to write all day. I did have a couple of ideas, but nothing of substance. A few tidbits will prob resurface in some future rant, maybe even today. So the point of this blog was to share, reflect, and let out some creative juice. I didn't expect anything in return from anyone, I do know that some people are reading, daily even! But if everyone stopped, I think at this point I would keep going, for myself. A lot of people today won't do something for someone else let alone themselves. I challenge you to do something for someone else. Without the expectation of something in return. Find someone in need, or volunteer to help a friend. This weekend I am actually going to help the construction impaired, with a home wiring project (Tim doesn't know how to use a drill). I actually like the fact that people think of me when they need help. Except for moving, you must know someone else with a truck!

I have time to kill.

Have you ever sat staring at the computer, waiting for the next page to load, or the file to finish downloading? I find my self doing this quite a bit. I have a thought while waiting and then go off on some search tangent that just ends up opening another tab/window, and then I forget everything else that's going on. In fact right now I have seven programs running, 3 tabs open in Vista (fuck vista by the way), a mixed CD in the works, and I've barely started what I sat down to do; write my blog for today. Which I guess is kinda the reason I'm now writing. I started out with nothing, remembered something I was gonna look up (The Pogues) then started my usual tangents of windows, programs, searches, files, torrents, and shopping. Then I found myself staring at a status bar. Just watching it. Waiting for it to finish like I had nothing else going on. And now here it is 9:17 and I really want to go to bed. But I'm in the middle of ten things. Yes I know they can wait till tomorrow. In fact some of the downloads won't be done till tomorrow, but I insist on continually watching their progress. I'll prob finish my Cd, purchase the Ebay item I have looked at twenty times over, read a little more about The Pogues, check Facebook one last time, Then prob kiss the wife and crawl into bed with Reilly (I know he's already warming up my side of the bed, such a good little boy). I wonder how much of this would have already been done if I didn't space out while watching that little status bar?

Not that surprising

So I did a little research today. Of course the Internet has all the information we need, or that "they" want us to have. Lets start with the "facts".
-At 3:45pm I currently have 10" of snow.
-The Forecast for Casco (at 9pm last night) predicted 6"-8".
-It is still snowing.
After the blunder of last weeks misguided attempt to warn us of snow, it really comes as no surprise that this storm has also been underestimated. So once again the more"accurate" weather forecast is to look out the window. Amazing that I have a better grasp on the climate just by drawing the shades. After all I have no radars, barometers, weather balloons, or fancy high tech green screens. These must have some relevance on the "accuracy" of our weathermen, right? Well I got to thinking, "how accurate are they"? After some pretty basic search engine shenanigans, the word "accuracy" is a debatable term amongst meteorologists. It seems in terms of temperature, if they are within 10 degrees, high or low, they made an accurate forecast. So to you and me, that means 30 is the same as 40 degrees? I think not. As for overall weather, if they say "Sun", as long as it doesn't rain. ACCURATE! So it turns out that the average accuracy of predicted forecasts is 50-65%. And this number is way skewed in my book based on the above facts. Also the forecast that we see online or on TV is a collaborative effort of multiple forecasters. They can't even make the call by themselves! Where do these guys (or girls) get their info and training from? Another search reveals that a BA degree in meteorology takes an average of three years. Some go on for another two to get their masters. But wait! Did you know that you can get the degree in a one year online course! Here is the ultimate kick in the pants. A degree is NOT required for most TV and radio meteorologist jobs. I'm not even sure why we pay attention to the weather anymore. If I got all my school work 50-65% right. I would have failed high school. But I guess I could still get a job predicting the weather.

Not much to say

Well today seems to be a no brainer. Was pretty much a relaxing thoughtless day. Slept in, had a nice breakfast, went shopping, Had dinner with the C's, and them home. Only mildly exciting thing was almost being T-boned by a semi. But that excitement quickly lost its luster. Oh and I did point out to Melissa another Pet Peeve of mine, only to find out she agreed. Why do people put up their windshield wipers when it is going to snow? Its weird considering that the first thing you do after it snows is clean off the windshield anyways. They look like little gay flags saying "look at me I'm afraid of the snow". Or maybe it's so they can find their car in the parking lot buried in a dusting of snow. Is it so they can tell the difference between theirs and the other ten cars of the same year, make, model, and color that are in the entire state. Kinda makes me want to run through the parking lot putting them all back down. You know, like setting off all of the Kung-fu hamsters at the same time.

A day on the trails

Melissa and I headed out on the sleds today, our plan was to go to her brothers house in Bridgton and back. Well we made it, and learned a few things along the way. We unloaded at the Casco Fire station and headed towards Naples. We stopped and took pictures along the way. We hit the trail at 8:30 and didn't see anyone else for the first hour. The trails were great having been the first ones on them. We got on long lake, coincidentally that lake is long! We then headed off into the woods towards Bridgton. Little did we know we took the scenic route, which was also the long way. we hooked up with about 10 others and rode with them for half an hour or so; and then split into different directions. We made it to her brothers on a slushy Highland lake. On the return trip we stopped for lunch at the Lake Region House of Pizza. We checked the map and headed to Greg and Jyselle's house via a much shorter route to home. We found two or three more routes along the way that would have sped up our trip, but we enjoyed the ride. Overall we went about 65 miles in eight hours. Stopping for lunch, breaks, and chatting. This was Mel's first "big" trip, her thumb was tired for the last 10 miles or so, but she's a trooper. She even Pee'd in the woods.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any easier

So we all have to go to work everyday to make a living. Some of us like our job, some hate it, and some have excepted the fact that it's work and they just have to go. Some people spend years trying to find their dream job, only to find that it doesn't make them happy. Others get stuck in a dead end job that eats away at them every day. How cool would it be to have the easiest job in the world. Something you enjoy, something brainless, something with benefits. I would love to be a movie critic. I would get paid to sit on my ass everyday, eating popcorn and snow-caps, doing one of the things I love the most; watching movies. I'm sure like everything else in the world it would have its downside, like having to watch Sweeny Todd. But would the good outweigh the bad? I think it would. So what would be the greatest job? How about traveling the US changing light bulbs for people. Yesterday at work I would have said that sounds like a sweet deal. That is until I saw them at work today on this.....
Yes that's right, that ladder goes about 50 feet straight up. It is leaning on a 2 inch roof tress at the top, and the bottom is on a rubber mat. You should have seen the bow in the ladder when the guy was climbing up and down. No friggin way. I'll stick to watching movies for fun on the weekends.

WWJD?

In life we are faced with challenges. Some of the choices are not crucial; go to the movies or to the beach. Some choices could be life altering; Buy a house or continue to rent. Then there are the unfortunate choices that we must face. These are often a surprise that rears it's ugly head when we would least expect it. Sometimes you need to sit and think about it, or discuss your options with your loved ones. Then there are times when you have seconds to decide your own fate, and then there are the lose-lose situations. Today I experienced one of those. Picture this....Its a cold February morning hovering at a balmy 12 degrees, It's pitch black outside. You have diarrhea, and your stomach just moaned in agony. Choice time. The Port-O-Potty just a mere 40 feet away; or a bathroom on the opposite side of a 10,000 square foot warehouse. I chose to brave the elements.

Yes I pee'd my crap.

I guess what I want, doesn't matter

Everyone has certain things that they like a certain way. Some people like crushed ice, some cubed. Mustard on a hot dog, or relish. The towels get folded lengthwise first or in half. Some of these things may seem trivial, while others have their meanings and reasons. It wouldn't make sense for me to come to your house and move all your plates to the top shelf cause I can reach them easier. Essentially making it harder for you. Today I once again experienced an ongoing issue I have. Melissa and I have a Pantry/cupboard in the basement. We tend to stock up on certain items when we get low. We also have a chest freezer that we keep extra things in. When grocery shopping we plan on what we want, need, and what to stock up on. In our fridge upstairs along with our cabinets we keep different items than downstairs. So when we load up the belt with our various treats we take the time to group things together, Fridge items, freezer items, stuff for downstairs; I'm guessing you get the idea. Then we have the pleasure of watching helplessly as the clerk picks and chooses through our groceries, to find their optimal goods for a bag. They will move something ten times before they finally decide it is worthy of the company of items being placed in the current bag. They will place, remove, and reinsert into a different bag. They will stretch way to the end of our food to grab the one elusive item they seek. I do not care that they keep their stuffing in the same cabinet as their green beans. WE DO NOT! Bag my damn shit the way I put in on the belt. Do not adventure on a quest to get all the red items in the same bag. Don't set out in search of all the round items. Leave the scavenger list of frozen goods at home. Don't check the buddy list for fruits and vegetables. And for the ten-thousandth time; I DON'T WANT MY MILK BAGGED!!!!!!

Finally!

Well after about 34 hours the power has finally come back on. We only managed to spend $700 during the outage. The generator did come in handy though. We were able to sit in the dark last night knowing that our frozen goods had been saved. It is weird to think of the things you never think about, usually in a time of need. I stood in the candlelit kitchen scrathing my head trying to think of where in the house we had a lamp. We don't. So the candles stayed out for another night. Kind of stupid right. An entire house with not one light source that plugs in. Oh well something to think about for next time. Here are a few more pics of the glorious day that was monday.

Out of my hands

I didn't miss a day by choice. Due to the wonderful joy of snow, We have no power. This is the first available time to get to a computer. Hours of shoveling, snowblowing, cursing, and laying in the snowbank are now over, at least for this storm. We went and bought a generater last night, only to get home and realize that we do not own a lamp that plugs in! But at least the fridge is cold.

Uncommon dislikes

While perusing the guide on TV tonight I once again got excited over the sight of Office Space playing on Cinemax. However I was quickly reminded that Melissa doesn't like it, and continued to search for an agreed upon show. How can anyone not like that movie! Then I realized that there are quite a few things that are common likes, that I myself refuse to partake in. Eggs for example. Everyone eats eggs, well except for me. I'm not grossed out by the fact it's a baby chicken, I just don't like the taste. Same goes for Watermelon, Peanut butter, Coffee, Melted Cheese, and Meatloaf. So many common day things that I dislike, that most people love. I'm not a fan of Nascar, Soccer, Smoking, Big Sunglasses, Cats, Skiing, or the Patriots. But Office space; really?

Size does matter!

So the old saying bigger is better doesn't apply to everything I guess. Clothing seems to be the exception to the rule. Bell bottoms were at one time the hip thing. Big pants on small legs. Okay, it had it time I guess. Jams were also popular. We all wore them. Once again they had their time. Even hats were at one time the thing to have larger than life. I never wanted my hat to cover my ears, but some people did. Even baggy pants and long flowing shirts were a fashion statement. BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE SUNGLASSES! I consider myself a semi-observant guy, but when a passing set of bug goggles whips my head around nearly causing a collision, that's a problem. All else is forgotten and attention is solely focused on those damn sunglasses. I have not been shopping for a female companion in more than twelve years, but I am pretty sure that a "face mask" would not help me chose the perfect mate. If I wanted to meet someone, the ability to see their face might be a positive. I don't want to have to sift through the whole hive just to get to the queen bee.

Forgotten dreams

Growing up we all wanted to be something. Firemen, a doctor, a pilot, a writer. These dreams often were born from someone else's ideas or stories. Today at work my childhood dream came back to me from out of a random conversation. I wanted to be a BMX racer. My brothers and the kids in my neighborhood would build bikes from all the parts from our old bikes. We would trade tires, seats, forks, frames, handlebars, brakes, pedals, and pegs. Then we would paint them to our liking with whatever paint we could conjure up from various sheds, garages, and basements. We were the original east coast choppers! We often had the strangest looking bikes, and before the technical knowledge was really there, I remember taking quite a few "diggers" when one would spontaneously combust while riding. My dream came from continuously watching the movie "RAD". Which, if I had to say; was a really rad movie. A normal kid with a paper route, goes on to beat the pro racers and everyone cheers. How could you not want to race bikes! Everyone was gonna cheer for me! I used to take the smallest jump out in the road and I felt like I flew ten feet in the air. But unfortunately my coolest tricks consisted of the wheelie, bunny hop, endo, and the 10 second no hands. Pretty sure that my goals in life have changed since then. I think I have gotten wiser to the real world. However I think a big goal of mine now is to track down a copy of that movie.....That would be RAD!

Happiness

Well this weekend looks to be a good one.....
1: Melissa is going home to the rents.
2: Get to work on more wood projects at the C's
3: Dad is going to watch the dogs Sat night. Slumber party!
4: A day filled with Mai Tais (Happiness)
5: Sunday all alone to recover
6: Monday once again no work, and a whole day to do what I want.

I know your jealous, what can I say I'm living the good life at the moment. Now if I only had something meaningful to do. Like figure out what the hell is going on on Lost.

Broken Promises

Well it has been brought to my attention that I failed to follow through on posting some pics from our long weekend so here goes.....
Friday: Rustic Overtones
Saturday: Snowmobiling
Sunday: Cabinetry
Monday:

I would say that Sweeney Todd was the most disappointing of the four. Definitely didn't live up to the hype I had heard from a certain cabinet recipient. Oh well, now I never have to see it again. Now if I can just avoid any and all disappointing things from here on out, that would be perfect.

Cuddle up

There is nothing like cuddling up after a long cold day. The key ingredients are...
A comfy couch
A blanket
Someone to cuddle with
A good TV show

You may also mix in the following to enhance the experience....
A couple of lazy puppies
Cup of cocoa
Nice bowl of ice cream

I would recommend using this method at least three times a week. If it is over used it may become routine and complaisant. If possible I would also try to use the same partner. Once tendencies and preferences are recognized the experience becomes much more enjoyable.

Of course I guess it could be very enjoyable with different partners as well.

Jackpot!

Well the trip to Salvation Army was a success in more than one way. Mel and I were both able to pick up some stuff for the Metallica party. The kicker was they were the half off tag of the day, yea yellow! We were also witness to someone blatantly trying to shoplift. And by blatantly, I mean walking out with two giant bags full of stuff. She claimed that's he came in with them, too bad upon inspection they had tags on them. We saw the same lady at the grocery store later, I think she recognized us, she turned and went the opposite direction pretty fast. Always weird to be embarrassed around complete strangers. Of course I wouldn't know anything about being embarrassed. Friends or strangers.

So I don't miss a day

Just a quick note tonight, so I don't miss a day. Been a pretty busy weekend, with a whole day left tomorrow. Melis has it off as well, we may be going to the movies. I'll post up some pics from this weekends events tomorrow. We went to a concert Friday, Snowmobiling Saturday, I built the C's kitchen cabinet today, and got to hang with the nephews for dinner, as well as a little Balloon Fight action.

Ahh old video games make you feel like a kid all over again don't they.

The Grand Unveiling!

I have actual fliers for those of you I haven't seen yet. Don't forget to dress up! Mel and I will be heading to Goodwill/Salvation Army to pick up a few things this weekend. If anyone else is interested in coming, let us know.

Tired ZZZzzzzzzzzz

Wow what a long week. I feel like I am due for one of those 13 hour naps. But we all know that's not gonna happen. We are off to attempt a snowmobile trip tomorrow. Nothing major. Just a trip from Casco maybe up to Bridgton for lunch. Problem will be how much snow is actually left on the trails. We couldn't go before because we were waiting on a part for Mel's and now that is has finally arrived, it has been 40 all week and raining. I at least want to go out for a couple of hours and make sure everything else is working fine for my weekend trip with the boys in March. Nothing worse than waiting till the last minute and finding something else is wrong. Damn toys. I should sell them all on Ebay and retire on my spoils. Too bad I got most of my stuff on Ebay cause nobody else wanted them.

Plus then nobody could say I play with "dolls".

I don't think that really makes any sense. But it's excusable cause I'm tired.

Are you pissed as I am!

Well here's a funny story, strictly because it not in anyway funny. I received a text today from someone who will remain nameless. it said...

"There is an H3 in front of me with the licence plate Hummr and it has a coach brand sticker on it."

My response was..."Coach Brand? "

For those who don't know it's the oh so over priced bag store.

I was confused at the reason for this interruption in my day. And replied with... "So"?

Come to find out it was a text full of rage. Evidently the typer hates the H3 as its not even a real hummer and they also hate licence plates that state what the vehicle is. The sticker was the icing on the cake. My response was lacking in excitement or intrigue."And?"I later received a frantic call wanting to explain, and to get me as pissed as the caller. It is so funny to see/hear someone get worked up over something so small, especially when you don't share the cause. I can see taking someones side if there is something at risk. But the only thing at risk here was the mysterious callers reputation. Call me if something is on fire, you have a flat tire, need help moving, or your hurt, but you called to tell me the the licence plate says hummr on a H3.

News Flash Andrea...Your licence plate has your name on it. Hypocrite.

Actual funny side story. Andrea did have a flat tire today too.

Back to the grind

Well today was the second day back on the treadmill. Damn it sucks. Last year I was able to lose 25 lbs with a little exercise and diet. Then due to a great case of the lazys I gained it all back in the second half of the year. So here we are again feeling lazy and fat. Time to turn it around. It is so friggin hard to stay in shape with the entire world surrounding you in the laziest possible way to do everything. I'm pretty sure that most of the easy-nesses of the world were created for the fat to be able to get around, but instead they are just making the world fatter.

Escalator-so you don't have to walk
Elevator-so you don't have to walk
Moving walkway-so you don't have to walk
Motorized shopping carts-so you don't have to walk
Email-so you don't have to to walk (to the mailbox)
Valet parking-so you don't have to walk

You get my point. They even have gone so far as you don't have to turn your wrist to unlock the car. Or push any buttons to dial a phone. Is it really so hard? Man things must be tough if you need to have your toothbrush do all the work cause your to lazy to move your arm.

Glad to see someone is listening

Four posts and two comments! 50% not too bad. Hopefully that will pick up, but I guess I can only hope for so much. I realize that this isn't the coolest website in the world, with flashy pictures or cool games, But it is a simple way to get my thoughts out there. The world is way to complicated no a days. A simple outlet should help us to relax and take us back to a simpler time. No hybrid cars, HD TV, Global warming, and all that political war crap. A time when cartoons were violent, we stayed out after dark playing with the kids in the neighborhood, didn't have wear a helmet to ride a bike, Pluto was a planet, you did "good" on your test, and our parents wanted us to get the chicken pox. What the hell happened to the good old days?

I feel so old sometimes......

I don't know who half the bands on the radio are, and Alice in Chains is now "classic rock".

Kids don't know the names of the Thundercats, He-Man, GI Joe, or what the hell Pee-Wee's Playhouse is.

My pants are too tight, my hair is only one color, my shoes don't look like moonboots, and the muffler on my car is too quiet.

I mean c'mon we were never that weird.....were we?

Everybody hates Mondays

Well except for me I guess. I have Mondays off. It is 10 am and I have already completed the next phase on the March 29th surprise, played with the dogs. had breakfast, picked up Reilly's prescription, done the grocery shopping, and watched 2 episodes of Scrubs. Hhhmmm maybe a nap? The last few Mondays I have been able to bang out a whole season of Scrubs, I am you see trying to catch up. Somehow I missed the bandwagon when the show first aired. I am in season six now, seven is on my computer, and 8 is on the DVR. Damn DVR, I watch more shit now then I ever have before. I watch things I wasn't even interested in cause I can record it a watch it later. I have all the Fringe episodes on there in case there is actually nothing on. I don't see that happening. Here is just a taste....

Monday. Big Bang Theory, How I met Your Mother, Heroes.
Tuesday. 90210 (laugh all you want)
Wednesday. Lost
Thursday. Smallville
Friday. Try to squeeze in a movie
Saturday. Solitary
Sunday. Try to squeeze in a movie

And that's just whats on now. We also watch True Blood, Prison Break, Greek, Ghost Hunters, American Idol once the stupid tryouts are over. And this doesn't include the fifteen episodes of the dog whisperer, K-9 Cops, Mystery surgery, Survivor, Think you can dance, Open up the guy and show you his insides crap that Melissa tapes on there. We are at the point of almost fighting for the TV to see what to watch and what to tape and watch later. I will say that I am going to watch dancing with the stars this season. Steve-O is on. How can that possibly not be entertaining!

Day Two

Well it looks like I have won the Blog Battle! This kind of commitment has really put a strain on my personal life. The time that I have put into making it this far is immeasurable.

Anyways I guess the year is off to a booming start. I was able to see Metallica in Boston with Melissa, and my brother and sister in-law. Great show as always. Next up is a snowmobile trip for the weekend with the guys from work. Prob lots of drinking and tom foolery. Still want to try to snowboard behind a sled. Maybe this time? Then there is March 29th. Its still a surprise but more info is to come. Then I am headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Greg for the induction of Metallica. My fifth wedding anniversary is this year. I am trying to get a group together for Mets vs. Redsox end of May. Then off to Phish in June. Robstock will be August 22 this year, and once again I have reserved the day to be sunny. Hopefully winding the year down with the second leg of Metallicas tour at the Civic Center (I can dream right).

So as it stands this year is already as busy as ever. Just as long as no one gets married, I might actually have time to sit down this summer. Melis has given me permission to build/buy a wood shop this year. Great another thing to do!

Things I'm not worried about as I get older

I realized today while rushing home from lunch that I don't fear ever being constipated. I had a regular cheese burger and fries. Homemade not even the fast food kind. No jalapenos, no wasabi mayo, no spicy relish, just a burger and fries. It wanted out of me so bad! I do worry about having to wear adult diapers when the muscle control starts to go, but constipation....forget it

Good Morning

Well I bet this isn't what you were expecting to wake up to today. I've been toying with the idea of putting my life down so others can enjoy or make fun of it. So today I have decided to go for it. Whats the worst that could happen? So my goal is to at least once everyday put up something, a story, what I am thinking about, maybe a picture, anything on my mind, it is in fact MY blog.

I will try to offend everyone I know so that no one feels left out. Yes some people may be frequented in my posts more often, but that's your own fault so don't try to blame me. That actually reminds of of another reason i have been thinking of doing this. About a year ago Cortney tried a thought of the day on her Myspace page, it lasted ONE DAY. So as long as I can put something up tomorrow, I'm winning.

This is basically a passengers seat into my life. So if you want me to pull the car over and talk about something let me know. I'll try my best to give you my honest opinion. I have a few ideas for rants/topics already. I have and idea for the worlds best blank. Prob something I'll do on a boring/thoughtless day. I'll tell you what the worlds greatest "something" is in my opinion and why.
